We believe that the main objective of design is to create the foundation for the successful operation of the facility going forward, in both technological and commercial terms.

It is therefore particularly gratifying to see how a port designed by Morstroytechnology lives, grows and develops.

Last year 1.6m tonnes of freight passed through the ferry port at Kuryk, while this year the complex plans to set the bar at 2.5m tonnes.

The Port of Kuryk is Kazakhstan's second marine port. It entered service in 2016, and is already making a major contribution to the country's development into a maritime power.

Working together with the Kazakh Karaganda Promstroyproet Institute LLC, Morstroytechnology introduced amendments to the technical-economic feasibility study «Construction of a ferry complex in the Port of Kuryk and operation of universal passenger-cargo ferries».

For the design project, Morstroytechnology carried out engineering surveys on the port basin, developed sections of the technical-economic feasibilty study and working design (hydrotechnical facilities, rail infrastructure for the terminal), as well as taking part in the approval process, and carrying out the design supervision of the construction works.
